Wrong Turn ( 2021 ) is a reboot to Wrong Turn franchise which was started with a box office hit movie Wrong Turn ( 2003 ). This movie starts with an old man named Scott who arrived to a town in West Virginia in search of his missing daughter Jen who went to hiking with her friends and her last called location is that town. He asked the folks about her. Some of them knew them & some of them didn't recognize her. However folks said if they went into the forest then it's better to forget them. Because no one came back from the forest either alive or dead body.

The movie tells us story as two different segments. One the story arc begins with the search of Scott for his missing daughter and the other is the story that happened before six weeks. In that story Jen and her five friends arrived to that town and they planned to hike in Appalachian trail in the morning. Town folks warned them to stay on the trails and also warned them not to cross into the border rather than the trail. Despite their warnings they crossed into the land where an ancient community named " The Foundation " living. They set some traps to protect them & their culture from the outside world.
Jen and her friends enjoyed so much until one of his friend accidentally tripped one of the trap set by the " The Foundation " community and a huge log moved towards them. They ran deep into the forest and trapped in there with no point of return. They life turned into upside down from that moment. Some of them died and rest of them were captured by the community. After six weeks Scott learned some information from the town folks and he decided to go deep into the forests inorder to save his daughter. A huntsman and his son also agreed to help him. The only hope of Jen & her remaining friends is Scott.

The story of this movie is interesting and full of bloody scenes like the original film. However there's a major difference between how the people live in the forest portrayed in the film. In original movie the people live in the forest is shown as mutated people ( Cannibals) by some kind of experiment and they hunt human and ate them. In this film the people who live in the forest are named as " The Foundation " who isolated themselves from the external world because the world is full of misery. They lived in the forest and they led a satisfactory life and also a life with their own customs. They kill people who crossed into their border using traps or they gave punishment to captured people. They wore terrifying mask to hunt prey and to camouflage with the forest environment. Moreover they also offer a chance to the people to join them.

Actually in this reboot they showed the people live in forest in a less horrifying way. But in original movie those people are terrifying and the way they kill people , the weapons they use , traps they set are horrible and bloody. The story of the reboot movie is also enjoyable like the original film. Moreover actors and actresses gave their best performances as well. Scott, Jen characters are enjoyable. Moreover the ending of this film is more unique than the original film. That end credits technique with scene is also good.

Original Wrong Turn ( 2003 ) is full of violence and the concept .The concept they used in the film is better than the reboot. The amazing concept used in the original film is a forest side sub road with two turns and folks warned the new people not to turn into the forest side road and some tourists accidentally took the wrong turn and they life became horrifying after that. The reboot film made a story into a interesting one with a community named " Foundation " . However the original concept is better than this.

Moreover reboot film is lack of bloody scenes and the ending escape scene also doesn't impress audiences like the original film did. But the first kill scene of the reboot movie is better than the original film. Moreover forest environment in the reboot is better than the original film. But original film has some best characters than this film. Moreover the treetop scene, final fight scene , arrow scenes in the original film are awesome.
In short Wrong Turn ( 2021 ) is definitely better than the sequels of the original film. However still the original film is better than the reboot. There's no doubt Wrong Turn ( 2021 ) is the first best horror movie of 2021. If are a horror movie fan then you should definitely watch Wrong Turn ( 2021) film. It's better for children to avoid watching this movie. Because it's also has some bloody scenes and mild mature story.
