Breaking Bad is the series about Chemistry teacher Walter White who became as a drug kingspin after he discovered he has a lung cancer . He partnered with his former messed up student Jessie to cook pure crystalline meth using his Chemistry knowledge inorder to pay medical bills for his lung cancer. This series often talks stuff abouts Chemistry. In this article we are going to see about 5 facts about Chemistry you can learn from Breaking Bad Season 01



01. Red phosphorus + moisture reaction  accelerated by heat results Phosphorus Hydroxide ( Phosphine ) gas. This Phosphine gas is toxic. One good sniff of this gas may be fatal.




02. Con hydrochloric acid reacts rapidly with metals, ceramics & most of the organic compounds. In the meantime it doesn't react with goods made up of plastics.




03. Rapid reactions are the reactions occurs instantaneously. Explosions is one of the example for rapid reactions. Faster they undergo changes leads to the violent explosions. Fulminated Mercury 's reaction is a good example for this.

05. Thermite can meltdown 5 or 6 inches of solid metals. This mean it can literally meltdown any kinds of door locks.
