Sweet Home is a Korean Horror drama about End of our World 2020. We watched End of our world by disasters, alien invasion, meteorite impact , Nuclear war, Zombie apocalypse etc in many movies and t.v series.  But in this series they have shown the end of the world in a different approach. In this drama people started to turn into mosters due to a deadly curse unleashed upon them. These monsters started to kill other people. No one knows why people are turning into monsters & who will turn into monsters next. May be their friends, relatives, neighbours who are alive now may die suddenly and turn into a monster. 

Later in the series they found out that " the desire in our heart will unleash curse upon ourselves & it will turn us into the monsters". Those who were affected by curse will show some symptoms like bleeding from nose, weakness , hallucinations & excessive aggression. They will turn into monsters within 15 days. If they managed to survive until 15 days then they will became as a powerful beings who can control the power from monster inside of them.

Main Characters of "Sweet Home "

The series starts with displacement of Hyun - Soo to Greenlight Apartment after the tragic loss of his parents in an accident. Hyun - Soo is a slow speaker & he isolated himself from social activities due to the harassment in his school. After the loss of his parents & sister he was broken & he thought to suicide. After the movement in Greenlight Apartment he tried to fall from the building. But he didn't commit suicide this time. So he noted a date in his calendar to commit suicide. Then there were numerous characters were introduced in series a korean language teacher ( Samurai ) , a singer,  a ganster, a girl who like to dance ballet,  her brother who later became as the leader of this place, a firefighter, a mother who lost her child etc.

During the night they noticed that they were locked inside the apartment.  In the meantime Hyun - Soo noticed an unsual growling & he tried to move towards it & he found a monstrous hand from other side of the wall. When hands moved towards him. He terrified & ran to his room & locked himself. Then a lady came to his door & asked to open the door & said " she's terrified " . Hyun Soo asked to show her hand infront of the camera in his room. Suddenly she turned violently & knocked her head in the door. Then she started to move around other doors as well. Meanwhile some people tried to open the door & they opened it at last. Then they saw a person with blood in his mouth at door step. Suddenly he turned into monster and he killed the security guard. However they managed to kick the monster out of the building & closed the door.  Actually fire fighter girl did that.

Meanwhile some people in the apartment also turned into monster. Gangster killed that terrifying woman. All the remaining survivors gathered in the 1st floor. Then they learned the situation & symptoms via news. They believed  military will come to rescue them. So their only goal is to survive at any cost. They had to face the dangers from the monsters who tried to break into the apartment. Moreover they had to deal with the monsters inside the apartment & the people who are showing symptoms before the turning.

They fought the monsters inside, they isolated the people with symptoms, they organized a proper system for their survival. Hyun Soo also showed the symptoms. But unlike others he resisted the turning & he got some powers. Some people started to fear about him. So they isolated him as well. At the meantime he helped them to fight the monsters & solve some problems. However many of them died & only few survived at the end. They were rescued by miltary due to a deal. They thought Hyun Soo is dead, but he survived & he was taken by an unknown soldier in a vehicle & that soldier said to him " Hyun Soo , long time no see " . The season 01 ended with some mysteries. Hopefully we will get some answers in the season 02. Watch the series and know who survived at the end, who died heroically, who became as selfish pricks , what are the awesome & dangerous monsters shown in the show etc.

Let's about the quality of season 01. The story is awesome, insane & full of deaths and horror. Don't get too attached to characters you will definitely cry like me when you watch their deaths . Moreover the story is emotional: A mother lost her child , A man proposed a girl before the fight in which he died heroically , a man & his loved one died together, some asshole gang infiltrated their place & killed some of the beloved ones, some of them turned into monster & some of them killed by monsters etc. You will definitely feel sorry for some characters. Acting is very good. Theme music and the background scores are awesome. Specially they used " Warriors song by Imagine dragons " in many occasions in heroic scenes. 

The visualization is mind bending . Some of the monsters looked terrifying & some of them looked nasty. Some paused scenes & slow motion scenes are awesome . In short this series is one of the best Horror series. However you will feel like they should have reduced the number of deaths in season 01. It's very sad to say only few characters survived at the end and more importantly some of the awesome characters died. We all know most of the Horror fictions are like this. So don't worry to much after watching it.  If you are a Horror fiction fan , then you should definitely watch this. Well you can watch it with your family. But it's better to avoid watch with your kids less than 15 years because it's scary & bloody. " Sweet Home " is definitely a golden series of 2020.
