Wonder Woman 1984 is 2020 d.c superhero film starring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. With the massive hit of Wonder Woman (2017) this movie released with much expectations. Let's take a quick look into the story. The film is about a mystical artifact named as dream stone. This stone was able to grant you one wish and it will take something away from you in return . There's a reference about " Monkey's paw " in the movie implying the above statement.

Diana got her boyfriend Steve back and the stone took some portions of her power in return for her wish. Diana's friend Barbara who was impressed by the charming of Diana wished she want to be like Diana. Actually Barbara is an innocent character who didn't get proper respect from the people. Her wish gave her everything: charming , respect etc and it took away the innocent & goodness in Barbara .

Moreover Lord Maxwell who wanted to become as a respectable personality in the society inorder to make his son to look upon himself & to love him. He stole that stone & he wished he wanted to be the dream stone. That stone took his health as return for his wish. He used his new powers in other people. He asked other people including the president of America to make wish & he took something from them in return when he grant thier wish to come true. The whole world gradually turned into chaos.
Then Diana , Barbra & Steve learned that this stone is evil & it will destroy the whole world. In order to stop this everyone has to renounce their wishes back. Just watch the movie and know whether Diana renounce her wish and lost Steve again or not , What happened to Barbara ? , What happened to lord Maxwell ? and what's the ending of the movie

Movie is actually a good one. It has many good moments. The wish made by Lord Maxwell, Young Diana moment, The quote to young diana , Steve & Diana final farewell, Barbara vs Diana fight in White House, Barbara wish to be an apex predator in the top of the food chain moment, Maxwell & his son reunion after climax, Diana remembering Steve's feeling about riding Aeroplane while flying in the sky and Barbara vs Diana final fight are some of the awesome moments in the movie. Maxwell's son said to Maxwell " I loved you because you are my dad. I don't want you to be famous to love you " that moment is awesome and emotional.

| Perfect Cast of Wonder Woman 1984 |
Moreover actors did a great job in the movie. Acting of all the important characters are great. Pedro Pascal as Lord Maxwell did an excellent job. His acting is perfect. Rather than these fight scenes are okay. But fans expected more in the final Diana vs Cheetah fight. Moreover the CGI in truck fight scene is not that great. Moreover action movie lovers were disappointed due to the lack of action scenes. This movie is more like a romance film. They mainly focused on Diana & Steve story. That's a minus point in the story .

Some people said they didn't give a good story to Cheetah. They said they didn't follow the comics. But actually Barbara's story in the movie is great. I don't know why many people failed to see this. They have shown a struggle of a common girl through Barbara's character in the movie. In our world most of the people admire women for their beauty & they fails to give proper respect to some woman with shy behaviour, some woman with knowledge & to some ordinary & common women. Barbara's story depicts this very perfectly.

Barbara is an innocent & more like a nerd woman who has some skills in her field. But her co workers didn't give proper respect to her because she's not stylish like others. However Diana helped her & Barbara was impressed by the Charming personality of Diana. You can noticed how happy Barbara was because finally she got a friend to speak. The writer has shown the mentality of those women who didn't get proper attention through her story. Then she accidentally wished to be a charming personality like Diana. Next morning she suddenly got strengh , admiration & respect next morning. She didn't want to lose it.

So later she fought with Diana because Diana was trying to make all the wishes to go away. Her story arc is actually awesome & it's logical. Finally she realized her mistake & renounce her wish. I don't know why many people failed to understand that her story is good. I agree that this story is different from the comics. But it's also a good one.

Apart from all these the serious issue with this movie is it's climax. Very poor climax and it's very disappointing. Lord Maxwell gave wishes to almost all the people around the globe. Then Diana used lasso of truth & spoke 2 or 3 dialogues & all the people around the world renounce their wishes back. Funny part is they have shown a terrorist also renounce his wish back. He just got all the thing he needed to reach his life time goal . I don't think he will give away that very easily. Some people can argue lasso of truth has the power to change the people's mind. But I don't think that's a proper explanation. May be if they shown like 50 % of people it's acceptable. But they shown all the people around the globe suddenly got goodness in their heart and renounce their wishes back. That's really a stupid writing.

But the ending of Maxwell lord is well written. He renounced the wish to save his son from the death and finally he reunite with his son. That father to son dialogue in the end is awesome and emotional. You will definitely feel something in your heart while watching this scene
