Space Sweepers is a korean sci fi movie about our world in 2092. In that year Earth was contaminated and diseases started to spread around the globe. Earth nearly became inhabitable due to the loss of tree. So an organization named UTS build a home in the satellite orbit of our planet Earth and made it as habitable. But they only chose few of the people to live there. In the meantime many people in Earth suffered by diseases. Some of them worked as Space Sweepers who collect junk in the space and sell them for their survival.
This movie tells the story of a space sweepers crew that consists of Tae - ho ( Song Joong - ki ) , Captain Jang ( Kim Tae - ri ) , Tiger Park ( Jin Seon - kyo ) and Bubs ( Kim Hyang Gi ) . This team of four misfits struggled a lot in their mission and to earn money. However one day due to an accident they found a girl named Dorothy in a space pod .Later they learned that Dorothy is a deadly bomb and it was wanted by the UTS via news. They started to fear her. In the meantime Tiger Park became so close to her. But Tae - ho always tried to get away from her. This crew planned to sell her in black market to earn money.

This crew set up a meeting to sell her. But they were attacked by the UTS crew. After the couple of incidents they knew that Dorothy is an ordinary child with nanobots in her body and she's the only hope to bring back the life on planet Earth. But they were pretty confused why UTS is trying to hunt her. They also learned that her father ( Former Scientist of UTS )is trying to get back in black market with money because he loved Dorothy so much.
Watch the full movie to know what happened to the space crew , back story of each of the members of space crew , why Dorothy is the only hope to save life on Earth , What's the real intention of UTS and why are they trying to destroy Dorothy. The storyline of the movie is ordinary and predictable because we watched numerous movies like this. The visual effects of the movie is great . Some space battles make this movie as a Korean Star wars movie .
Actors gave their best performances in the movie. Some comedy scenes and emotional scenes centred around Dorothy and the crew made this movie enjoyable. The way they portrayed the settlement in the orbit is mind blowing. The visualization of space and the infected Earth , the inside area of the space settlement are great. The writers shown how the human behaviour can change from time to time to the audience through this movie. They also showed the miserable life of people who are without money as well.

But if you watch this movie with a hope as an action movie ,then you will be pretty disappointed. The movie has only few action scenes. But those action scenes are definitely mind blowing. Some chase scenes are good. Moreover some of the audience will feel laziness in the middle of the movie due to it's slow story moment. The writers failed to establish a strong storyline. That's a weak point of the movie. They created a concept and they only focused the story in one direction. They failed to bring some new concepts in the movie. Don't worry too much by reading this. Because the movie is definitely an enjoyable movie with a simple storyline. If you want to spend your time by watching a movie with your family, then you should definitely watch this film.
